I agree that it was worth to reprint Alex' article, but I do not believe it could help with "dialog". Alex is an ex. of a "nice" Zionism, as we tell it in Russian -he wants wolfs to be sated and sheep to be alive :)But it is impossible. Zionism is all about "Jews" having "rights" on other peoples (Palestinans) expence. It cannot be band-aided. So called "Arab Israelis" (really, Pslaestinians) mostly do not need to be "integrated" into "Jewish state", as Blacks in SA did not need to to be imtegrated into "white state". Palestinians will always be "demographical timebomb" for "Jewish character" of Israel settler state. I tried pretty hard to be the diplomat between here and there when there were tensions. It has taken about a year for even the politically aware to realized that things in Iraq are Not Going Swimmingly.
