To answer your question that people are desperate enough to even consider the idea of Pesh in uniform (which is basically what the Kurdish regiments are) coming in as peacekeepers is a great indication of how desperate they are. The last time that was tried they went on an orgy of looting, rape, and murder, especially in al-anbar that’s largely responsible kick starting the resistance. Attrocity after attrocity after attrocity a dubious record which they shared with some of the more revenge oriented “let’s kill every one we even suspect of having even once thought of being a ba’athist” militias. They ran squealing behind their American protectors the moent residents started to shoot back - which in Kirkuk happened after 24 hours. That’s how bad they were.

It might work I suppose - if they could be relied upon to behave. Unfortunately I don’t believe that they and they squads from the defense and interior mimistries can be relied upon to behave in anything other than a barbaric manner.
