I read Juan Cole immediately after reading your previous posting this a.m., and you both were on a roll. He has been more visible on public TV now so he has been getting slaughtered by the conservatives - so it is good to see him fight back. BTW perfect characterization of Hitchens!

Thanks Grania - I don’t by stretch of the imagination always agree with Juan but I recognise him for what he is a man who knows his stuff and who loves his country deeply.
